Young and successful Moscow investor Vadim changes his привычный life dramatically for the sake of his love for his girlfriend Tanya. To earn the respect of Tanya's father, Igor Romanovich, a stern foreman and metallurgist, Vadim, who has never even held a plane in his hands, gets a job at an Ural metallurgical plant. The heat of the workshops, the crude humor of his colleagues, and the unbearable physical demands are just a small part of the trials Vadim faces. Will he be able to endure a whole month without his usual comfort, find true friends, and win the respect of the tough metallurgists?
