In 1949, Taiwan was shrouded in the shadow of the White Terror. The Kuomintang, unwilling to accept defeat, sought to prevent the new China from achieving national reunification. In this critical moment, underground intelligence officer Wu Shi, deputy chief of staff of the KMT Ministry of National Defense, disregarded his personal safety and resolutely committed himself to liberating all of China. As the highest-ranking Red spy in history, he was honored with the code name "Agent No. 1."With in just a few months, Wu Shi worked seamlessly with courier Zhu Feng and transmitted numerous top-secret military intelligence regarding Kinmen, the Zhoushan Archipelago, Taiwan, and other areas, making outstanding contributions to the cause of national reunification.
